That year, Baby graced the cover of Billboard’s R&B / Hip-Hop Power Players and Rolling Stone for his triumphant wins. With more than 3.9 billion streams stateside at the time of its release, today, My Turn has over 14 billion streams and is inching diamond status with nearly 9 million album-equivalent units. The project also sold over 86 million singles. Earlier this year, My Turn was named the No. 1 pure hip-hop album and No. 8 album across all genres for the first 25 years of the 21st century, based on the Billboard 200 chart.
Baby continued his dominance in January by releasing his seismic album, WHAM. The album dominated the competition with 140,000 album units for its first week to become Lil Baby’s fourth consecutive No. 1 and seventh top 10 project on the Billboard 200. It stormed to No. 1 debuts on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums charts, reinforcing his unquestioned standing among rap’s most elite hitmakers.
WHAM’s transcendent week helped Lil Baby make history on the Billboard Hot 100, where 12 songs from the album debut, including the runaway streaming hit “Dum, Dumb and Dumber,” featuring Young Thug and Future, at No. 16. With his new hits, Lil Baby is now the sixth act to ever score 150 hits on the Hot 100, after Drake, Taylor Swift, Future, Lil Wayne and Ye.
The global superstar will hit the road this June for his WHAM WORLD Tour. The multi-date trek will make stops across North America in his hometown Atlanta, Nashville, Miami, Brooklyn, Chicago, and
more before wrapping up in Los Angeles, CA at Intuit Dome. Special guest BigXthaPlug will support the North American run and the Australia and New Zealand leg. NLE Choppa and Loe Shimmy will also join on all North America dates. Fans can purchase tickets at www.whamtour.com |
