Chris Stapleton and his wife and musical partner Morgane announced the birth of their twins, both boys … on Stapleton’s 40th birthday (April 15), and during the 2018 ACM Awards. Talk about a big day!

Stapleton and his wife skipped the 2018 ACM Awards ceremony in Las Vegas, Nev., on April 15 because she was due to give birth soon. When Stapleton was announced as the winner of Album of the Year at the awards show, host Reba McEntire hopped up onstage to explain that the country star had skipped the awards show because of Morgane’s impending due date … and that, in fact, “those little rascals arrived early!”

The Stapletons’ two new twin boys — whose names and other birth details have not been revealed — have two older siblings at home. The Stapletons announced the exciting news that Morgane was pregnant with twins on Oct. 30, 2017 — their 10th wedding anniversary — with an Instagram post. Stapleton mentioned the twins again a week later, on Nov. 8, thanking his “kids — and the kids that are on the way” when he accepted the 2017 Album of the Year award at the CMAs. The couple already has a daughter and a son.

Stapleton released the second part of his award-winning album From A Room on Dec. 1. Volume 1 of the project, the album that won Album of the Year at the 2018 ACMs, came out in May.
