Two-time and reigning ACM “Entertainer of the Year” Jason Aldean returned to his home state of Georgia today to reveal the one-night-only lineup from SunTrust Park for his HIGH NOON NEON TOUR stop at the new Atlanta Braves stadium, on July 21st. During the exclusive press conference, Aldean was joined by President of Live Nation Country Touring Brian O’Connell, legendary baseball player Chipper Jones and tour opener Lauren Alaina along with Luke Combs who joined via video. Additionally three-time GRAMMY award-winner Darius Rucker exclusively announced Hootie & the Blowfish will reunite for the night to serve as direct support for the show. Fans can purchase tickets beginning next Friday, March 23rd at 10:00A ET at JasonAldean.com and LiveNation.com.

“Out of all the shows we’ve played, I know this show is going to be a career defining moment,” said Aldean at today’s press conference. “We haven’t had a chance to play Atlanta in a couple years in anticipation of this show and I know this night is going to mean a lot to my family and me. I’ve followed the Braves my whole life….was even at the ’95 game when they clinched the World Series…so this is a huge full circle moment for me.”

“Last Spring we were brainstorming what could happen this year to spice up Jason’s touring routine, and the top thing on his mind was to play the home of the Atlanta Braves,” O’Connell added. “It’s important to understand Jason’s history with Georgia not only as an entertainer but as a person who wants to honor his roots. He is the only Country music artist to play UGA’s Sanford Stadium and now SunTrust Park and I know it’s going to be the show of the summer in Atlanta.”

Aldean’s wide-open approach has made him a perennial live-show favorite for the format as he has headlined the biggest stadiums in the United States where “Aldean and his band rock hard and precise” (Houston Chronicle) and this year, his HIGH NOON NEON TOUR will launch on May 10th. Certain to add fire to a career that’s already witnessed 19 chart-topping hits, he is “returning to his roots” (USA Today) for his upcoming album REARVIEW TOWN, out April 13, which is full of vignettes of life laid over electrifying rock n’ roll and country sounds, building upon that history. Its “vulnerable and slow burning” (Rolling Stone) first single yearns with the well-worn sounds of hometown heroes Otis Redding and the Allman Brothers Band, as it kicks off REARVIEW TOWN’s fiercely confident set of songs that catapult between traditional country grooves, stadium-sized rock riffs and rap-style boom-thwacks. The new music follows Aldean’s last three albums that each bowed at No. One on the all-genre Billboard 200 albums chart and all seven of his previous LPs have achieved PLATINUM certification or better, tallying more than 15 million total album sales.
