Round Here Records’ PLATINUM Country star Canaan Smith has tapped his love for quality beer with a new passion project, cracking open his very own signature brand, BREWSHINE

Toasting the craft-brewed concoction as a “year-round ale,” Smith unveiled the new beer last week during an invite-only party at Nashville’s New Heights Brewing Company, and now he’ll keep the good times flowing.

With appearances at Craft Brewed and Santa’s Pub, Smith will roll out his BEER TOUR at select Nashville pubs, proudly welcoming BREWSHINE to Music City.

“There’s a sweet spot for me with beer,” Smith shares. “Not too crafty, not too basic. BREWSHINE is the perfect, crushable craft beer. Born in the woods, made for the wild.”

Smith’s BREWSHINE is available to those age 21+ in select local establishments now. Here’s a complete rundown of the dates, times and venues of his BEER TOUR:

The craft-brewed news adds more flavor to a year that’s already been full of high times for Smith – including the April release of his long-awaited sophomore album, HIGH COUNTRY SOUND.

Raw and organic, but still built around feel-good hooks, the set features 12 co-written songs grounded in the rich dirt and woodsy romance of the American frontier, with the Virginia native tapping into the rougher fringes of Country music. Fan favorites like the heartbroken “Colder Than You” arrived alongside a all-natural music video – helping showcase Smith’s love of the outdoors, and an ice-cold beer – while the sturdy and serene “Cabin In The Woods” celebrates the spirit of craftsmanship, also found in each drop of BREWSHINE.

Mixing earthy sounds with an adventurous, hardscrabble sweetness, Smith is credited as a producer on eight of the 12 HIGH COUNTRY SOUND songs (he co-producing the others with Round Here Records founders Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line), and critics have lined up in support of the project.

American Songwriter praises the “acutely country” sound “reminiscent of George Strait’s early hits, but with a hill country twist.” The Virginian-Pilot hails, “True to Smith’s vision, each track exposes another layer of the 38-year-old through tales both raucous and romantic, from his childhood all the way up to his newest role as dad.” And likewise, Forbes applauds Smith’s “newfound confidence” and “authenticity” throughout the project.
